I like my paper about the epigraphs from into the wild. I feel that this paper has the best supporting arguments and the epigraphs really help to support my claims. I also feel that this paper has the best flow of the papers I have written although it could be better. While I like this paper, it could be better. As I mentioned before the flow could always be better and the word choice could use some improvements to make the paper sound better overall.

The epilogue in the end of the book helped wrap up a good sense of closure. The end of the book helped to justify Chris's death in that it was merely an accident as opposed to him being an ignorant and careless kid that just wanted to get away from everybody. The end of the book changes your opinion on Chris for the better and gives his tale a much deeper understandable meaning and the fact that he survived as long as he did is much more honorable than before.

The Film Metropolis is my primary source for my paper and I chose it because it was the best source that displayed what I was trying to convey. I think the audience will be very interested to read about it because they may have never thought about it before. The audience should realize where such an import aspect of society was being displayed cinematically for the very first time and establishing history.

For my paper I am doing the 1927 movie metropolis. I chose this movie because how we perceive the future is very important to the cinematic world. This movie was the first movie to ever try and portray the future and it still stands as the foundation on which futuristic sci-fi future movies are made. From the buildings to the way the future looks they all seem to follow the same build as metropolis created when it first debut. The reason this is important today is at it still manages to effect the view on which we have in the future even though the film is almost a century old. It's very important to society as the way we perceive the future is very important.

It's much better for a writer to delve into depth when trying to create a visual image for the intended reader. By doing this it allows the reader to connect with the author and visually understand what the writer was trying to convey in describing something. As mentioned in the text they talked about mentioning what a "house" looked like and the generic form anyone could think it looks like. As opposed to someone trying to talk about how eerie a haunted house is and describing the creepiness of the house.
As for something in my room to talk about... I will pick my desk.
Reflective chrome gleams from the underlying hidden skeletal structure. The subtle yet intricate glass glimmers in the light, making it known that it is there. The dark rich wood trim is merely an accent here and there to keep your eyes busy. Nestled in the corner occupying two walls as it stands out triumphantly in the shape of an "L." This, is where all the academic magic happens.

Blog Prompt
It's the difference between "talking the talk and walking the walk" while his heroes may have mentioned that they went out and did all these crazy things, they survived. Where you can't really measure this of how physically or mentally enduring their trip was it still goes to show Chris's dedication to his dreams. For Chris to think so highly of them and to follow in their footsteps is and was a horrible idea as he really didn't know what he was getting himself into and these authors made the adventures they went on sound amazing/fun and a lifetime experience.

I feel that Chris's family problems certainly fueled his desire to go far far away. While most kids that have issues with thier parents simply avoid them he seemed to be more socially engaged with his. His parents were supportive and cared about him deeply so it's wierd to wonder why he disliked them so much. I think personally that Chris was just a social outcast but only because of himself. He liked it this way and wanted to stay this way and not depend on society for more than he'd have to. While it is crazy that he would do something like this and go out on his own, he justified this with himself in any way he needed to. And the fuel for his fire was his own parents.

I think that Krakauer's rhetoric in this story is very good and that it would most resemble the way I feel towards Chris Mccandless. I may change the title of the book to maybe sway readers right off the bat to feel the way I do about him. Maybe by adding a subscript such as Into The Wild: The story of a young boy versus nature or something along those lines. In the beginning of the book the author doesn't really make his opinion evident and subtly hints at it until its more evident where he is going with the story. I would have a more aggressive approach at swaying my readers I feel.

"If you were Christopher McCandless, you weren't fond of your family and didn't want to go back to them, and someone who you liked, respected, and enjoyed being with asked to adopt you would you do it? Why do you think Chris didn't want to? If he did would he have still gone to Alaska?"
I think that if I was put into Chris's shoes I would also have a hard time figuring out what to do. Because although it would seem like an easy choice to me about obviously being with someone you likes better, you have to think of what/how your parents will feel about your decision and it may haunt them or you forever. If it was his parents hated him and he hated his parents then by all means it would be in everybody's best interest to switch. If you thought you didn't like them or get along with them very well and just switched then it would be very selfish and crush your parents. I think personally I would debate about it but don't think that I could ever go through with something like that.

While it is hard for me to remember what my emotions where for the last election I could most likely sum them up as; confused. I have never really been a person that is to into politics nor do I honestly know what is going on. The person with the right morals and right ideas that I support are the candidate in which I would be most likely to pick. I am glad Obama won and it is/was a good change for America. While you 'd be considered almost crazy to pick Hilary I don't think she was a bad candidate either aside from the whole being crazy thing. Obama is a great president and will be until its the end of his term.

I think I would be able to manage in the wild for a couple days. Then probably return back to civilization and have learned my lesson possibly. I would take with me simple but useful things such as, a knife, flint, fishing line, a hook and a blanket. With these things I could try and provide for myself but would still probably be unable to do so as I am so used to being dependent on society. If I had the option of going into the wild with a group of experts I would most likely turn it down as it is not the same thing at all to me as you would just depend on them instead.

My name is Levi Wells as you may or may not have already figured out by being on my blog ( I hope you did.) Anyways, I've grown up in Pullman for the last 18... yes, 18 years (depressing right?) so my life hasn't been very adventurous to say the least. There really isn't much at all to do in Pullman aside from go to school but on the rare occasion that I do indeed have some free time I enjoy it by my main hobby; auto racing. I've been racing for a few years now and absolutely love it. Nothing can compare to the feeling of building something from the ground up and destroying some pavement with it. Although I enjoy that the most, I have school as my main priority now but being a car guy is a very close second. I hope you guys enjoyed the brief cliffnotes of the story of my life and I hope I can get to know you guys better!
